Polar explorer Will Steger is known for his travels in the arctic, but he made a stop in Duluth on Wednesday night to talk about climate change.
People gathered at Duluth's Zeitgeist Arts Café to hear more about Steger's 45 years of experience exploring in the Arctic. He said much of the polar regions are unseen by the public, so his goal is to show them the changes being caused by global warming, and how they're affecting us here at home.
"Our winter is going to be shortened quite a bit, which we're starting to see right now," Steger said. "So winter has totally changed compared to what it was our normal winters 30-40 years ago and I spent 12 years living out here and 30 below would be totally normal this time of year."
Steger also discussed possible solutions to combat global warming.
